I invite you to post your prayers to God (maybe others will be encouraged to know that they have the same struggles, or maybe you’ll give someone else the words to pray for their own situation) and to post prayer requests – things you would like me or others reading to pray about with you.
I will pray about anything posted here even if I do not reply to each post. I also encourage you to pray about some posts here too. Posts may be anonymous, or a nickname, initials, or false name may be given. That does not matter at all because God knows who posted it.
God is interested in every detail of your life. If you pray because you pricked your finger or because you had a car crash God pays the same amount of attention to each prayer because He loves you. Prayer does not have to be long or eloquent to be effective, or to reach God’s ear. God even understands if you sigh in His direction (Psalm 12:5, 38:9; Lamentations 3:55-57).
God does not just hear our individual prayers, He is also willing and able to act on our behalf. He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we could ever ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). I love it in the Amplified Bible which says that God
“is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]“
We just have to talk to Him about it; bring it before Him.
I understand that the Bible says in 1 Peter 5:7:
“Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.”
this tells me that we need to believe that God loves us when we pray. We go to Him because we know He cares about us. If we struggle with that we can say – “by faith, I believe You Love me God, and I receive Your love”, or something similar, when we pray.
